Who am I? Humm. Well that's a hard question but one that deserves an answer. I am an artist and have been for as long as I can remember. As a young child I sat in church drawing big smiling heads with arms and legs sticking out of them. In school note books and folders became sketch books and illustration boards to me. After graduating I went to Rocky Mountain Collage of Art and Design (RMCAD) for two years where I learned all sorts of stuff. Through a teacher there I got hooked up with my first professional art position working as a technical illustrator for a small multimedia company. I was starting to get an itch though. In college I was meeting people from around the country and starting to realized that the ends of the earth may not drop off at the Colorado State border as I had assumed. So, I married my high school sweet heart, joined the Army and ran off to see the world. Nice thing was the Army footed the bill for college, while at the same time giving me a real and practical education. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed my time at RMCAD however, life experience is more valuable than gold.
Drawing to me is the foundation of all other forms of visual art. It teaches you how to see. Form, composition, design, value, all these things can be learned from drawing. From there you have no boundaries of what you can visually create.
